We at Zion are truly blessed to have such an amazing group of people who are talented and dedicated to making beautiful quilts for people in need. The quilts are donated to organizations such as Lutheran World Relief, Open House Ministries, and Share House. Some quilts are given to comfort families who have lost everything due to a fire or disaster. Lap robes are also made for people who may spend a lot of time sitting. All are invited, women and men. We meet each Monday during the school year from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. If you can tie a knot or sew, you could be a part of this exciting ministry.

Overseas distribution of the quilter's handiwork for 2010:

 34 quilts, 167 health kits, 84 bars of soap and 147 school kits were
sent to Lutheran World Relief.

The quilters would also like to thank
 David Edstrom, Emil Fredrickson and Bud Stencel
who helped load the Relief shipment not only at Zion
but also at the Portland trailer site where they helped
with the general loading that day.
